Summer school signups are coming soon!
IUSD Summer School will be offered at both Irvine High School and University High School. Most classes will be offered at both sites with some exceptions which are noted in the course catalog.（尔弯学区的暑期学校会在尔弯高中和大学高中授课。 除了个别课程，大部分的课程在两个学校都有提供。 详情见课程列表）
Registration will take place at each of the comprehensive high school sites and at the District Office from April 13th to May 6th . Specific locations, dates and times are included in the course catalog, and in this Registration Locations List. Do not drop the forms off at a school or the district office. Instead, parents and students can register at any of the registration sites for either the IHS or UHS Summer School, but it is recommended students enroll at the high school site they will be attending next year.（报名将在两个学校的网站都有，报名日期为四月十三号到五月六号。具体上课地点，日期，时间包括在课程列表和报名地点表。请不要将报名表格交到学校或者学区的办公室。

Finals schedule updated due to 0 period
In the interest of equity for all students and teachers with zero period, we have modified the finals schedule for the week of January 26-29 as follows. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
Monday:Regular 0-6 day
Tuesday:0,3,6. Zero begins at 7 am. Period 3 begins at 9:21. Lunch will be served and period 6 will follow. School will be out at 2:00 pm.
Wednesday: 1,4 (School goes from 8-12:21)
Thursday:2,5 (School goes from 8-12:21)
Friday:Student Free Day

Cindy的心得
作为UNI HIGH一名十年级的学生，我来跟大家分享一下开学以来的心得。首先是选课，去年刚进学校的时候通过语言测试，我被分到了Shelter 1，今年升入Shelter2。但是由于去年我的英语成绩不错，今年本来希望能够拿到CP English。一开始去问conselor的时候她说必须要拿到任课老师的签名才可以转课，我通过email提交我的成绩给英语老师并拿到老师同意我转课的签名。但是当拿着签名去找conselor希望能够换课的时候，却被告知我必须要再参加一次语言测试才有可能换课，并且据说这学期就算通过了语言测试想在下学期换课也很难。UNI HIGH拿课一向很难，在此提醒所有学生如果想要换课一定要在趁早解决，最好能在放假之前就能定下来，不要指望刚开学的两周可以通过找conselor换课，因为那个时候很多学生都面临着想换课的问题，conselor没有时间去解决，所以基本上换课的成功率比较低。
其次跟大家分享一下关于加入社团的问题，想要加入的学生可以通过这个网站http://www.uhsasb.com/clubs/directory 去查找相关的信息。但是由于学期已经开始两个月，有些社团已经停止招新了，但是大部分社团依然可以加入。社团会议的时间基本都在周一到周五的午餐时间，上面的网址有提供每个社团的会议地点。因为美国大学很看重学生的课外活动，所以多参加社团对申请大学会很有帮助。

Back to School Night is Wednesday, September 17!（家长开放日 九月十七号）
The faculty, administration, and staff would like to invite you to become familiar with your student’s teachers, routine, and campus at Back to School Night. It will be held Wednesday, September 17 from 7:00 to 8:46 pm (0 Period at 6:40pm). This is a great opportunity to meet their teachers and learn the academic and social opportunities which lay before your students for this academic year.
You will move from class to class following your child’s schedule, meeting with each teacher for 10 minutes, followed by a 6 minute passing period to get to the next classroom. Before and during the evening you will have the opportunity to visit the “Crossroads” in front of the Theatre where there will be tables with information and refreshments offered by various campus organizations, Career Services, and the Counseling Department.
New this year: You will receive your student’s schedule on Tuesday, September 16 through your student. If you arrive late, please go directly to the class scheduled at that time. Please bring your student’s schedule to avoid any delays. We launched the new site in June, but with the end of the school year it
would have been easy to miss. There are lots of new resources, including
information about college exploration, scholarships, college admissions tests,
career exploration, ROP, community service, summer programs, as well as job
postings and college preparation checklists.
